Schools Leaue

Okay so my Tau performed reasonably well at the School League Qualifier. I wasn't particularly impressed with my Hammerhead or the speed of my troops choices. After some advice from various sources including Old Shatter Hands, I have decided on this:

Shas'el, blacksun filter, twin linked missile pod = 71
3 shas'ui, twin linked missile pod, flamers = 141
6 fire warriors = 60
10 kroot = 70
10 kroot = 70
2 broadsides, targeting array, team leader, hard wired target lock = 170
Total =582
Tactics are to sit back and blast away at things. Take objectives with my Kroot either through Infiltration or Outflanking. In dire situations I can contest with my Deathrain suits. Comments and ideas welcome.

    Very nice list.

    My only suggestion is to try and get some drone protection for the broadside. It took me a while to think where to the points without losing a unit. I finally decided that the broadside targeting arrays and team leader upgrade would be the best place. Because the broadsides are.already twin linked you're only upping their accuracy by about 10%, while having drones means you can survive a lascannons shot without one suit being instant killed.

    The new broadside unit is:
    1 broadside with drone controller, shield drone, gun drone
    1 broadside with target lock
    Costs 170 points and can still split fire.
